The Dendrelaphis genus of snakes, also known as bronzebacks, are a group of non-venomous slender tree-snakes, found in South and South East Asia, and Australia.
There are more than forty bronzeback species, with more discovered on a regular basis.
Species known from around Bukit Lawang are:
- Dendrelaphis caudolineatus - striped-tail bronzeback
- Dendrelaphis formosus - elegant bronzeback
- Dendrelaphis haasi - Haas' bronzeback
- Dendrelaphis kopsteini - Kopstein's bronzeback
- Dendrelaphis pictus - painted or common bronzeback
- Dendrelaphis striatus - striated bronzeback
